Upper School Course Selection

At The First Academy, we approach the process of course selection from a perspective of building a well rounded student – able to give good answer for the hope he/she has in the cross of Christ, strongly academically focused, and willing and able to serve others before self. Our Counseling Office provides academic counseling for students and families in grades 9-12 to help determine sound solutions for college preparation.

Students at TFA take some classes in eighth grade that will appear on their transcript for college but will not count toward the accumulated credit total for graduation. These courses do meet the standards for prerequisite courses.

Our courses are divided among eight departments of study and are available in College Prep and Honors levels. In some instances, College Board AP courses are also available.
