Support The First Academy
To provide its students with the many resources necessary for an exceptional, college-preparatory education, The First Academy relies on enthusiastic support from its families, alumni, faculty/staff, as well as our School Board and our many friends throughout the greater Orlando community. There are various types of support coordinated by the Development Office, including volunteerism, donations, and school promotions. To this end, the Development Office takes an integrated approach to giving by coordinating annual giving, tuition assistance, capital giving, planned giving, matching gifts, alumni relations, public relations, marketing and stewardship.
Capital Giving
The First Academy is actively engaged in raising funds to complete the school's campus master plan. The exemplary facilities at The First Academy are evidence of the philanthropic support of many individuals, families and foundations. Capital giving provides donors the opportunity to create a legacy and to impact the lives of students and families for years to come.
Planned Giving
Planned giving offers individuals and families a way of making charitable donations to the school through outright gifts, bequests, life income gifts, insurance policies, and the creation of endowed funds. The Development Office at The First Academy is prepared to assist families interested in creating a legacy as a part of their overall financial and estate planning.
Matching Gifts
Did you know that you can double your donation to The First Academy if you work for a company that offers a Matching Gift Program? Employee Matching Gift Programs are corporate giving programs in which companies match donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. Most companies with a Matching Gift Program provide a 1:1 match. Typically this only takes five additional minutes of work on your part to help make this happen. Specific eligibility rules vary by company, but usually your eligibility is based on employee status and length of employment. Your company guidelines will outline the requirements and provide a paper or electronic form for submission.
